Florida Blueberry Festival Volunteer Information
VOLUNTEER GENERAL INFORMATION
Volunteers are a vital part of the Florida Blueberry Festival! Thank you for your interest in becoming a partner in the success of this event. In addition to showcasing our bountiful blueberry crops and beautiful county seat, this annual festival brings an estimated $440,000 tourism dollars to our community and donates all profits to local 501(c)3 charities. Our volunteers enjoy event activities and meet great people from the local area and from around the state, all while supporting the economic growth of Hernando County.
Florida Blueberry Festival, Inc. volunteer guidelines:
Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older. All volunteers under the age of 18 must have a volunteer waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian and must use the PDF rather than online submissions. All waivers must be submitted and will be verified before volunteer credentials are issued. The waiver is the last document of application PDF.
Volunteer positions that involve the handling of cash or interacting with children require a criminal background check and/or sexual offender registry check.
A General Release/ Liability waiver must be completed and signed by all festival volunteers.
Some festival volunteers will be asked to participate in a pre-event orientation.
